The Diocesan Peace and Justice Commission works to make Catholic Social Teaching come alive by providing programs and projects and various advocacy efforts for parishes and individuals.
The commission promotes the social justice work of groups such as the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), Department of Justice, Peace and Human Development, Catholics Confront Global Poverty, Catholic Relief Services, Farmer-to-Farmer, and Food Resource Bank programs as well as their many Fair Trade offerings, Rice Bowl and many others.
