4. Natural Family Planning (NFP)-The Diocese of Sioux City Marriage Prep program requires that each couple complete an introductory course in the method of their choice. These classes can take up to 3-4 months to complete.
THE WITNESS TO LOVE APPROACH: What makes Witness to Love unique is the mentor couple format, in which the engaged couple chooses their own mentor couple- one that they admire and see as a source of faith formation. Extending and deepening constructive relationships with Christ and the Church to support marriages is the goal of this initiative. The married couple is coached to mentor the engaged couple. Unlike other mentor models, there is no need to establish trust in order for the marriage prep process to work – the foundation of trust already exists.
MENTORSHIP — Through a mentorship model, couples preparing for marriage choose a mentor couple to grow in relationship with who attends Mass regularly and is active in their parish. Couples meet with their mentor couple monthly to read and discuss the Sacrament of Marriage, friendship, and virtue using the Witness to Love workbook and videos.

Marriage prep option 2 -Retreat1 Contact your parish to discuss your wedding plans.
2. FOCCUS Premarital Inventory-Complete FOCCUS inventory and discuss results with priest or deacon.
3. Participate in diocesan marriage prep retreat.- The diocesan marriage prep day runs from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and includes lunch and supper.
- Cost is $150 per couple and must be paid in full prior to the classes.
- All classes are one full day; and include the materials that are required for your marriage preparation.
- Registrations will close one week prior to the class date or when the class is full, whichever comes first.

3. Ever More in Love Mentor Couples Marriage Preparation: The Diocese of Sioux City is adding a mentor-led marriage preparation program called EverMore in Love. Our goal is that every engaged couple can be mentored through this program one-on-one with a mentor from their own parish. We are working with parishes to get adequate numbers of mentors trained. During this time of transition, parishes can direct their couples to a live, online version of the course by clicking one of the dates below. (More dates to follow!)
