Letter from the Office of Stewardship and Development

The Office of Stewardship and Development mission is to assist, teach, and empower Catholics in the Diocese of Sioux City to discover, grow and live out discipleship as stewards of God’s gifts. Stewardship is a way of life!

What is stewardship? Stewardship is the responsibility of protecting and promoting the mission of the Roman Catholic Church; to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As stewards, it is our responsibility to spread God’s word and in doing so, to expand giving through our programs, education and ministries. Our office plays an integral role to ensure stewardship goals are attained.

I invite you to learn more about Stewardship and Ways to Give by navigating through these web pages. Please also pray for me as I endeavor to continue the Church’s vital work.

Stewardship Prayer:

Creator God, at baptism we accepted the call to follow Jesus. Be with us as we move along on our faith journey.

Send us your Holy Spirit, that we might have wisdom for the journey. Help us to develop and share our gifts as good stewards, that

we may use them in love and service in your kingdom. We ask this through Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Thank you,

Susan O’Brien
